Welcome to BLUG, Bloemfontein Linux Users Group!
We hope to get the group up and alive since the need for Linux use in Bloemfontein is increasing with all the people getting fed up with M$ products. It is needed to educate the normal people out there by telling them about Free (as in beer) and OpenSource software.
How can software be free?
Well, that question can be easy to answer :) You don't do everything with expectations to receive right? Or am I the only one around thinking like that? Another answer can be that with free software you are able to save loads of money in big businesses! While support towards OpenSource is growing, so will the commercial support. nVidia is already in the process of rather supporting Linux based hardware.
The catch? Well, there is a little catch... Attitude, patience and willingness.

With a positive attitude you can conqueror any obstacle, no matter how hard it is. The human spirit is far stronger than any error and failure a computer can throw at you. Patience will help you keep your cool so you can actually put a spark in your attitude towards willingness to support Linux, Free and Open Standards.
You like your privacy right? Do you think you have privacy using M$ products? I am not sure about it. You are forced to have automatic updates if you are not clever enough to disable it. They can spy on your computer and you won't even notice. It is said that M$ Windows is the biggest virus ever written, and I tend to agree with that!
