All things Linux

Linux Internet

Good! I removed M$ Windows, installed Linux, booted up and played around. But there is still something missing. I want to connect to the Internet! HOW do I do that? Uhm? A little help here?!?

Bloemfontein Linux Users Group

Welcome to BLUG, Bloemfontein Linux Users Group!

We hope to get the group up and alive since the need for Linux use in Bloemfontein is increasing with all the people getting fed up with M$ products. It is needed to educate the normal people out there by telling them about Free (as in beer) and OpenSource software.

How can software be free?

Linux Troubleshooting for System Administrators and Power Users

This is a great book I bought a while ago, and it was the money worth! Link to the book on Exclusivebooks's website.

It covers advanced configuration troubleshooting when your system (or you) go into panic.

Open Source

Here you wil find that most articles have to do with Open Source software, which is great in terms of usability and cost since most of this software are free and stable, while the applications continue in development on the internet.

Linux

The next best thing to use on your computer, being free, as in free beer, it is much easier to obtain.

I dont like beer, but nobody said you have to like beer to love Linux. "Why should I use it?" and "Whats in it for the developers if they don't charge anything?" are two questions asked regularly.
